Cancellation Policy

Cancellations

At Opalspace, project booking initiates immediate allocation of design, planning, estimation, coordination, and project preparation resources. Accordingly, the following policy shall apply:

1. Booking Confirmation:

   • A project shall be treated as confirmed only upon receipt of the booking amount.
   • The booking amount is presently 10% of the total project value, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Opalspace.

2. Limited Cancellation / Refund Window:

   • Any request for cancellation must be made in writing within 48 hours from the time of booking confirmation.
   • Only requests received within this 48-hour period shall be considered for any refund or adjustment.

3. No Refund After 48 Hours:

   • After expiry of 48 hours from booking confirmation, the booking amount shall become strictly non-refundable.
   • No refund shall be applicable in cases where the client delays the project, reduces the project scope, withdraws part of the work, places part or full work with any third party, or decides not to proceed with Opalspace after commencement of design or preparation activities.

4. Design, Planning, and Preparation Effort:

   • The client acknowledges that upon booking confirmation, Opalspace commences design development, technical planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and other preparatory activities.
   • Accordingly, the booking amount shall not be treated merely as a token advance, but as consideration against business time, professional effort, resource blocking, and pre-execution costs incurred by Opalspace.

5. Scope Reduction / Partial Withdrawal:

   • Pricing, discounts, and commercial terms offered by Opalspace are based on the overall agreed scope of work.
   • After booking confirmation, the client shall not be entitled to substantially reduce, remove, split, or partially withdraw the confirmed scope of work for execution through any third party while seeking to retain the originally offered commercial terms.

6. Exceptional Cases:

   • Any exception, refund, relaxation, or adjustment shall be considered solely at the discretion of Opalspace.
   • Such cases, if any, shall be reviewed based on the stage of work completed, costs incurred, and resources committed, and the decision of Opalspace shall be final and binding.
