Opalspace is the only branded player that offers a flat warranty for three years on services like custom woodwork, electrical work, plumbing work, and civil and demolition. Services like painting, false ceiling, and countertop installation also have an attractive warranty of one year flat.

5. What are the prerequisites of the Opalspace warranty?
In the event of repair, Opalspace Warranty is valid only if you possess a digital or physical proof of complete payment and/ or have signed the handover document at installation.
6. What if I lose my bill or Opalspace warranty e-book?
Don't worry! Suppose you lose your physical customer contract or Opalspace Warranty E-book. In that case, you can request the information by contacting Opalspace customer support.
7. Can I renew my warranty once it expires?
No. Currently, we are not offering any extension or renewal of Opalspace Warranty.
8. Will I be charged if I need any services after the end of the Opalspace Warranty period?
We are happy to provide after-sales services even after your Opalspace Warranty period expires. The service charges would be minimal, and material charges may be incurred (if anything needs to be replaced).
9. Are customized products provided by Opalspace covered under Opalspace Warranty?
Customised products offered by Opalspace are not covered under Opalspace Warranty.
10. Are decor products and accessories provided by Opalspace covered under Opalspace Warranty?

1. Opalspace will honor its warranty when
- The Product supplied and installed is properly maintained and used for normal domestic use.
- The Product is still owned by the original purchaser.
- The Product is still in its original position and location.
- The warranty has not expired, subject to limitations set forth through Opalspace terms & conditions.
2. Opalspace warranty does not include
- Any labor, installation, transportation costs, or any responsibility for damage that Opalspace considers natural wear and tear of finishes and surfaces.
- Any products used or installed conjugation with Opalspace kitchen/ wardrobe/ modular storage such as electrical & plumbing fixtures, countertops, and appliances. Any use of Opalspace cabinetry or component parts contrary to instructions furnished by Opalspace will void this warranty.
- Any cabinetry or component parts that Opalspace considers to have been subject to alteration, modification, accident, abnormal use, extreme temperatures and continuous contact with water, high moisture levels, or use of harsh and/or abrasive cleaning chemicals.
- Normal incidental deterioration like nicks, cuts, scratches, and abrasions that result from normal use during the standard life of the Product.
3. Opalspace will not be held responsible for any claims arising from defects due to material or workmanship of products not listed under claim terms.
4. Opalspace warranty does not cover natural wear and tear or damage caused by rough handling or using the Product beyond its intended use.
5. Opalspace reserves the right to alter specifications per its continuous product evaluation and improvement policy.
6. The scope of Opalspace warranty cannot be changed or broadened by any authorized representative of Opalspace.
7. Repair(s) and/or replacement(s) are subject to the current product offerings of styles and construction options within the Opalspace product line at the time of the claim. Suppose a claim is filed after an Opalspace product becomes obsolete or discontinued. In that case, Opalspace will replace the affected component with a replacement component of a similar style based on availability at the time of the claim.
8. Notify Opalspace via phone or email within 10 days of any defect that comes to notice, such as visual damage or malfunctioning component. Notification post the stipulated time will void the Opalspace warranty.
9. Any decision regarding the repair of the said component (in part or whole) solely lies with the authorized Opalspace representative. The decision will be made following an inspection by the representative on whether to repair the Product at the site or return it to the factory for refurbishing/ replacement.
10. Liability: Opalspace will try to replace/ repair the defect within a reasonable period. Opalspace will not be liable for any direct/indirect loss to the user due to the defect or delay in providing the service or any fault arising from design, application, or installation. Under this warranty, Opalspace's liability shall not exceed the Product's purchase price or replacement.
11. The warranty is not renewed in cases where the Opalspace modular cabinets or components are replaced in part or whole during the said warranty period. As indicated in the table below, the replaced parts will continue to be covered under our warranty until the remainder of the period. Barring components that carry a lifetime warranty, the warranty for any product under any circumstances will not exceed 10 years (for modular wardrobes & storage) and 10 years (for kitchens) from the date of possession.
12. The terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Delhi courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any claim or dispute which might arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.
Furniture
Sofas
1. To know the brand of your Product, please refer to the product attributes/information or speak to your authorized Opalspace representative.
2. Opalspace warranty does not cover upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions and foam, color fading from sunlight, damage caused by rough handling and use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents, or improper use and maintenance.
3. This warranty is applicable on sofas including but not limited to 1,2, 3 seater sofas, sectionals, ottomans and sofa cum beds.
4. Lifetime warranty on any borer/termite issues in solid wood furniture by the brand 'Opalspace.'
5. Notify Opalspace within 10 days of detecting any defect via phone or email.
All other furniture
1. This warranty applies to all other furniture by the brand 'Opalspace' and Brand Partners. To know the brand of your Product, please refer to the product attributes/information or speak to your authorized Opalspace representative.
2. Opalspace warranty does not cover upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions and foam, color fading from sunlight, damage caused by rough handling and use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents, or improper use and maintenance.
3. The following are not considered defects: natural wood characteristics such as variations in grain, color, mineral streaks, and knots.
4. This warranty applies to furniture including but not limited to upholstered furniture, solid wood furniture, coffee tables, beds, headboards, dining tables and chairs, accent chairs, metal furniture, and outdoor furniture.
5. Brand Partners may offer an additional warranty on certain products or parts of the furniture. Please contact an authorized Opalspace representative to know more.
6. Lifetime warranty on any borer/termite issues in solid wood furniture by the brand 'Opalspace'.
7. Notify Opalspace within 10 days of detecting any defect via phone or email.

The following manufacturing and workmanship failures are covered under this warranty:
- Bulging of Core Material: Any unnatural swelling or expansion of core materials.
- Bubble Formation in Top Finish: Surface bubbles resulting from manufacturing or material defects.
- Surface Peeling: Unintended peeling of the finish layers.
- Patch Formation in Polish: Any inconsistency or patchiness in Polish due to manufacturing errors.
- Malfunctioning Hardware: Issues with hinges, handles, or other hardware affecting functionality.
Warranty Limitations and Exclusions
This warranty does not cover certain natural characteristics of wood, normal wear, or damage from external factors, including but not limited to the following:
1. Natural Wood Characteristics:
- Wood Traits: Variations in grain, color, mineral streaks, and knots are inherent in wood and highlight its natural beauty.
- Seasonal Wood Movement: Wood expands and contracts with humidity changes, leading to minor adjustments like hairline cracks at door joints or slight panel movements. These traits are typical for wood cabinetry and do not qualify as defects. To support wood stability, maintain relative humidity at 40-50% year-round.
- Colour Changes Over Time: Sunlight, smoke, cleaning agents, and environmental factors may alter wood's color or texture gradually over time. These changes are expected and are not defects.
2. Moisture and Water Damage: Damage due to water exposure from leaks, high humidity, seepage, or prolonged contact with water from any source, including user negligence (e.g., unaddressed spills or wet conditions), is excluded.
3. Pest Infestation: Damage caused by termites, ants, fungal infestations, wood borers, or similar pests.
4. Rust or Corrosion: Corrosion of hardware or metal parts due to high moisture, exposure to improper chemicals, or lack of maintenance.
5. Incorrect Use or Unauthorised Modifications:
- Alterations, repairs, or modifications by unauthorized personnel.
- Use of cabinetry or parts for unintended purposes or in extreme conditions.
- Damage from using abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents or any cleaning chemicals not approved by Opalspace.
6. External Installations and Modifications:
- Non-Opalspace Accessories: Issues related to non-Opalspace accessories (e.g., countertops, lighting, plumbing) used with cabinetry.
- Post-Installation Adjustments: Any structural changes or cabinet removal following the initial installation can void the warranty.
7. Outdoor and Weathering Effects:
- Exterior Woodwork: Custom wood installations exposed to sunlight, rain, or outdoor conditions.
- Stone Countertops: Stones like granite used for countertops are excluded from this warranty.
8. Uncontrollable or External Factors:
- Cosmetic damage, such as small cuts, scratches, or dents, is not covered.
- Damage from external or uncontrollable events, such as Acts of God (e.g., fire, floods, extreme weather), improper storage, accidents, or vandalism, is excluded.
9. Wear and Tear:
- Cushion Wear: Softening or flattening of cushions and foam with regular use.
- Colour Fading: Fading or discoloration of finishes or upholstery from sunlight exposure.
- Cosmetic Damage: Cuts, scratches, dents, and abrasions from regular use or accidental impacts are considered natural wear and tear and are not covered under warranty.

- Replacement Parts Availability: Opalspace will replace laminates or finishes if the exact materials are available. Similar replacements may be used when exact matches are unavailable, though color or finish may vary slightly.

Customer Responsibilities

3. Make the property accessible to Opalspace/Livpreneur authorised representative(s) to perform the repairs.
4. The warranty policy shall not cover any defects arising out of factors out of the control of Opalspace, including but not limited to:
- Natural calamities such as earthquakes, cyclones
- Vandalism
- Acts of God
- Abuse or negligence by the customer
- Normal wear and tear,
- Surface with contaminants
- Failure or defects in the structure or previous coating
- Any other external factors
5. Opalspace reserves the right to conduct inspections and perform any tests. It may do so by itself or by any person nominated. Before such inspection or testing, the customer shall not be entitled to perform any repairs or remove or tamper with any part of the product/service.
6. Opalspace/Livpreneur shall use its best endeavors to ensure the repair work is completed as soon as possible. However, it does not assume liability for delay in this respect.
7. Opalspace/Livpreneur, in its sole discretion shall be entitled to:
- Control/monitor repair, which is to be carried out following all its specifications and instructions.
- Appoint a contractor and/or approve the contractor appointed by the customer.
8. no warranties expressed or implied under law, which extend beyond the terms in this warranty document.
9. The customer is expected to provide the painter(s) with basic necessities such as a stool/ladder, bucket, and water (to mix the paint) at the site.
10. Any decision regarding repair of the said component (in part or whole) solely lies with the authorized Opalspace representative. The decision will be made following an inspection by the representative.
11. Repair(s) are subject to the current product offerings of styles and construction options within the Opalspace Product line at the time of the claim. If a claim is filed after an Opalspace Product becomes obsolete or discontinued
Electrical
Opalspace warranty protects your home against any product defects or workmanship issues in electrical work for up to 3 years. The warranty will be applicable on the following product list:
- Cabling (TV, internet, CAT6, telephone)
- Circuit wiring (electrical wiring)
- Electrical fixture installation (fan, lights, exhaust fan, etc.)
- New electrical point
- Relocation of electrical point
Warranty Coverage
The following manufacturing and workmanship failures are covered under this warranty:
- Electrical Short Circuits or Tripping: Unintended short circuits or circuit tripping due to installation or material defects.
- Loose Electrical Contacts: Faulty connections in plugs, switches, or circuit components that result in loose contacts.
- Installation Defects: Errors in initial wiring, circuit work, or fixture installation within Opalspace's designated scope.
Warranty Limitations and Exclusions
This warranty does not cover issues arising from external conditions, misuse, or customer-handled electrical components, including but not limited to the following:
1.Eligibility for Warranty Coverage:
- Coverage applies only if the total value of electrical work exceeds INR 25,000, and Opalspace representatives have confirmed no issues with voltage fluctuation or input power sources.
- Customers must use only Opalspace-recommended wiring and appropriate appliances for the designated ports and points to qualify for this warranty.
2. Power Supply and Input Voltage Issues:
- Faults due to main power supply fluctuations or incorrect input voltage are not covered.
- Failures due to any issues with the main power source or improper input to the mains are excluded from this warranty.
3. Moisture and Water Damage:
- Electrical failures resulting from water penetration, such as leaks, capillary rise from ground level, or continuous dampness affecting electrical components, are excluded.
4. Physical Damage or Mishandling:
- Damage to conduits, wires, switches, or plates caused by physical impact, mishandling, or other external factors is not covered.
- Any modifications, repairs, or adjustments to electrical works made by individuals other than an Opalspace-authorised representative void this warranty.
5. Non-Opalspace Electrical Components:
- Main Line and Heavy-Duty Cables: Installation and maintenance of main lines, power provisions, or heavy-duty cables connecting to the main distribution board (DB) are not covered. Any such work carried out by Opalspace upon customer request is limited to a one-year warranty.
- External Electrical Work: Only electrical work within the Opalspace-installed wiring from the main DB to other areas of the home is covered under this warranty. All cable work up to the main DB is the customer's responsibility.
6. Improper Use or Overloading:
- Failure of electrical points or appliances due to misuse, improper use of electrical points, or connecting incompatible appliances to Opalspace-installed points is excluded.
7. Product Availability and Replacement Limitations:
- Replacement of electrical components (e.g., wiring, switches, conduits) is subject to market availability. Opalspace will strive to match the original SKU; however, if identical replacements are unavailable, a similar SKU may be substituted, potentially from a different brand
8. Environmental and Uncontrollable Factors:
- Damage from environmental factors outside Opalspace's control, such as Acts of God (e.g., floods, fires) or persistent exposure to dust or contaminants affecting electrical components, is not covered.
- Issues caused by external factors, such as structural or ground movements leading to wiring or conduit displacements, are also excluded.

- Manufacturing Defects in Plumbing or Sanitary Pipes: Flaws in the pipes' materials that impact functionality.
- Clogging Due to Improper Installation: Blockages or clogs caused by errors in the initial installation of the plumbing system.
Warranty Limitations and Exclusions
This warranty does not cover issues caused by external factors, misuse, or non-Opalspace components. Warranty coverage will become void subject to specific conditions, including but not limited to the following:
1. Eligibility for Warranty Coverage:
- Coverage applies if the total value of plumbing work exceeds INR 25,000, following a satisfactory inspection by an Opalspace representative.
- The warranty is valid only if the customer uses the entire plumbing system installed by Opalspace without modifications or replacements by unauthorized personnel.
2. Water Quality and Environmental Conditions:
- Plumbing failures from poor water quality, such as mineral deposits or chalk buildup due to hard water, are not covered.
- Issues caused by water penetration from ground-level capillary rise, persistent leaks, seepage, or continuous surface dampness are also excluded.
3. Physical Damage or Mishandling:
- Damage from physical impact, mishandling, or external factors affecting pipes, fittings, or other plumbing components is not covered.
- Any modifications, repairs, or adjustments to the plumbing system made by individuals other than an Opalspace-authorised representative void this warranty.
4. External Plumbing Work:
- Plumbing Supply and Drainage Works: Plumbing systems from terrace to floor or floor to ground, including ducts, main supply lines, drainage systems, sewage pipes, soak pits, and excavation/backfilling work, fall under customer responsibility. Any such work done by Opalspace at the customer's request is limited to a one-year warranty.
5. Non-Opalspace components:
- Fixtures Not Supplied by Opalspace: If any materials like tiles, taps, or fittings were not supplied by Opalspace, the client must provide these items during any repair work.
6. Scaling and Fixture Wear:
- Scaling or deposits on taps, shower heads, faucets, and other stainless steel, chrome, or metal components due to water quality issues are not covered.
- Any material failure or wear due to prolonged exposure to water quality issues or improper maintenance is excluded.
7. Product Availability and Replacement Limitations:
- Replacement for plumbing components, such as pipes and accessories, depends on market availability. Opalspace will attempt to provide the original SKU; however, a similar SKU may be provided if an exact replacement is unavailable, though the brand or model may vary.
8. Environmental and Uncontrollable Factors:
- Damage from environmental factors outside Opalspace's control, such as Acts of God (e.g., floods) or issues caused by contaminants on surfaces, is excluded.

- L-angles supply and installation
- Mosaic tiling/ designer tilling
- PCC
- Plaster (internal)
- Platform installation (kitchen, bathrooms)

- Site bull marking
- Skirting installation
- Stone installation not including stones (eg., granite etc.) used for kitchen countertop installation
- Tile installation (wall and floor)
- Wall punning
- Stone cladding
- Levelling and water leakage issue in countertop: water backflow due to improper installation of countertop or leakage of water at the epoxy joints with kitchen sink
Warranty Limitations and Exclusions
This warranty does not cover issues caused by external conditions, improper maintenance, or factors beyond Opalspace's control. Warranty coverage will become void subject to specific conditions, including but not limited to the following:
1. Eligibility for Warranty Coverage:
- This warranty applies only if the total value of civil work in the project exceeds INR 25,000.
- Coverage is valid only if the customer maintains the area as per Opalspace's recommendations and follows the care guidelines provided at the time of installation.
2. Wear, Tear, and Environmental Exposure:
- Damage from harsh environmental conditions, excessive moisture, or maintenance with acids or abrasive brushes is not covered.
- Natural wear and tear of materials, stains, or strains on tiles due to regular use are excluded from warranty coverage.
- Tile or marble slippage due to natural bending or flexing of materials over time is not considered a failure.
3. Structural and Water Damage:
- Cracks, damages, or any deterioration caused by structural issues in the building or water leakage behind tiles or plaster are excluded.
- Excessive water exposure, seepage, or damage due to internal leakage not within Opalspace's installation scope is not covered under this warranty.
4. External Installations and Surfaces:
- Civil work completed on external walls, surfaces, or outdoor areas is outside the warranty's coverage.
5. Granite, Stone Countertops, and Shelves:
- Any installation issue like backflow of water due to improper installation of counter stone or leakage of water due to improper epoxy grouting would be covered for 1 year only. Defects arising from the Product are not included.
6. Product Replacement Limitations:

7. Tiling Work Limitations:
- Hollowness in Tiles: Hollow sounds or detected gaps in tiles after 6 months of handover are not covered.
- Colour Fading and Shade Variations: Colour changes or fading in tiles after 6 months of installation and variations in tile shades are expected over time and are excluded from this warranty.
- External Tiles: Issues with tiles installed on external surfaces, including outdoor areas, are not covered.

Painting
Opalspace warranty protects your painting work against workmanship defects for up to 1 year. The warranty will be applicable on the following products:
- Exterior paint (in balconies only)
- Existing furniture polishing/refurbishment
- Interior paint (normal, texture, geometric)
- Waterproofing (interior areas of the home)
- Wallpaper base preparation
- Wood/metal paint
If a defect is found upon inspection by a company-authorized representative, the defect will be rectified following the claim terms below.
Warranty Coverage
The following manufacturing and workmanship failures are covered under this warranty:
- Film Integrity Issues: Flaking or peeling of paint caused by one coat separating from another or the paint film detaching from the substrate.
- Colour Fading: Significant fading of the paint color beyond what would be expected from normal exposure to light and environmental factors.
- Fungal or Algal Growth: Growth of fungus or algae on wall surfaces over an area of at least 10 square feet.
- Bubbling of Paint: Any bubbling of paint due to application error identified during the warranty period.
Warranty Limitations and Exclusions
The following conditions will void the warranty. Coverage is not applicable if any of these issues are present:
1. Eligibility for Warranty Coverage:
- Coverage applies only if the total painting work exceeds INR 25,000 and if the customer has used the full recommended Opalspace paint system, including an undercoat of primer, two coats of putty, and 2-3 coats of paint on all surfaces.
2. Moisture and Environmental Conditions:
- Paint peeling, bubbling, or blistering due to moisture intrusion, water penetration from ground-level capillary rise, or continuous dampness from leaks or seepage.
- Appearance of mildew, mold, or other environmental conditions contributing to paint degradation.
3. Surfaces Prone to Water Collection:
- Any paint issues on horizontal surfaces or areas with structural designs that allow moisture to accumulate, such as decks, railings, stairs, porches, roofs, and wood gutters.
4. Wear and Tear, Usage, and External Elements:
- Ordinary wear and tear, abrasion, mechanical damage, or fading due to direct sunlight, high humidity, or natural chalking, particularly in coastal regions.
- Surface damage due to corrosive agents, abrasive materials, or exposure to harmful solids, liquids, or gases.
5. Structural and Substrate Defects:
- Defects resulting from structural issues, including cracks due to ground movements, earthquakes, or structural instability.
- Peeling, blistering, or chipping of paint layers due to the substrate's high moisture content or previous structural coating issues.
6. External Surfaces and Previous Coatings:
- Painting done on external walls, external waterproofing, or any repairs on outdoor surfaces.
- Peeling of paint layers that were present before Opalspace's work or due to structural defects in previous coatings
7. Natural and Uncontrollable Factors:
- Fading, cracking, or defects caused by factors such as earthquakes, cyclones, or other Acts of God.
- Damage from bird droppings, plant pots, ants, insects, or environmental contaminants.
8. Pest Control Exclusion: Damage from pest control treatments or related chemical exposure is not covered under this warranty.
9. Surfaces with Water or Moisture Issues:
- Water penetration due to proximity to vegetation, air-conditioning units, or plant pots that cause leakage or consistent dampness on the surface.
10. Coastal Conditions and Shade Variations:
- In coastal areas, minor fading, and chalking on surfaces are normal and are not considered a failure within warranty.
- Shade variations may occur during rectification, depending on availability and environmental effects on the original paint.

Opalspace warranty protects your gypsum false ceiling against workmanship defects for up to 1 year. The warranty will be applicable on the following products:
- Calcium silicate ceiling
- Cove ceiling

- Gypsum ceiling
- POP ceiling
- PVC/VOX false ceiling
If a defect is found upon inspection by a company-authorized representative, the claim terms below will rectify the defect.
Warranty Coverage

- Board Integrity Issues: Flaking, peeling, or detachment of joint compounds or other materials from the substrate.

1. Eligibility for Warranty Coverage:
- Coverage applies only if the total false ceiling work exceeds INR 25,000 and the customer has used the entire Opalspace-recommended false ceiling system, including approved brands and materials. Mixing brands or using non-approved materials will void the warranty
2. Structural and Environmental Conditions:
- Issues caused by structural movement of the building, structural defects, or failure in materials to which the ceiling is attached.
- Damage due to external forces, including near-gale or stronger winds, tornadoes, hurricanes, hailstorms, earthquakes, flooding, or fire.
- Exposure to water, including sustained pooling, cascading, or immersion, impacts the ceiling's integrity.
3. Moisture and Water Intrusion:
- Water penetration from ground-level capillary rise, seepage, continuous dampness, or intermittent water dripping from vegetation, air-conditioning units, or other sources.
- Direct exposure to water or water vapor, such as condensation, leaking pipes, or steam that contacts the false ceiling materials.
4. External Mounts and Physical Damage:
- Cracks caused by external mounts, including chandeliers, lights, or other appliances.
- Damage resulting from downlight replacements, impact from objects, or other physical pressure on the ceiling.
5. Improper Use and Installation Conditions:
- Improper installation or maintenance, including damage from exposure to smoke, chemical vapors, toxic substances, or foreign contaminants.
- Installation on structural or framing members that are twisted, bowed, or otherwise distorted.
- False ceiling installations in buildings or structures that have not been maintained with reasonable care.
6. Natural and Environmental Factors:
- Minor fading or chalking on surfaces is common in coastal areas. It is not considered a failure within warranty limits.
- Organic Growth, such as mold, mildew, algae, or fungus, arising from environmental conditions.
7. Improper Installation and Third-Party Issues:
- Damage from installation or system design flaws, third-party actions, omissions, or negligence.
- Damage due to outdoor exposure or installation on surfaces other than drywall, which does not comply with Opalspace's recommendations.

1. Wooden flooring warranty exclusions:
- Any changes or repairs made without the manufacturer's approval.
- Damages from high moisture or standing water unless the area is properly sealed.
- Usage of harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- If the flooring is used outside, recommended/ or in extreme temperature and humidity levels.
- Scratches or damage from nails or any sharp objects on the wooden flooring leading to scratch marks or discoloration of the Product.
- Any discoloration, fading, or wear of the fabric due to sunlight, washing, or other environmental factors.
2. Bath Spaces/Shower Enclosures warranty exclusions:
- Misuse, mishandling, or neglect, such as failure to dry the enclosure, improper storage, or failure to clean using recommended methods.
- Usage of corrosive, ammonia-based, or abrasive cleaners.
- Damages due to sharp objects, extreme heat, excessive vibration, or other adverse conditions.
- Products bought from unauthorized sellers or those with modifications (e.g., altered wiring or connectors).
3. General lights and home automation products
- If the Product is installed incorrectly, misused, neglected, altered, or abused.
- Failure to adhere to the instructional documents or user manual will invalidate the warranty.
- Any damage caused by extreme weather or other acts of nature.
- Damages caused by power surges or improper voltage input. Ensuring the correct voltage and surge protection is the customer's/ user's responsibility.
- Unapproved incorporation/ inclusion of unapproved replacement parts, connections, or unauthorized services. Only Havells lighting-approved parts and services should be used.
- Damage from normal wear and tear, lack of regular maintenance, or improper cleaning practices. Maintenance routines specified by Havells Lighting must be followed to maintain warranty validity.
4. Replacement of a product would be subject to the OEM's availability. If the manufacturer discontinues/makes the Product unavailable, Opalspace will provide alternate options for replacement.
5. Standard T&C for warranty claims specified as per the brand will be applicable for branded material, even if it is not explicitly mentioned in this document.
6. Exclusions - Warranty is not applicable on the following products:
- Opalspace curtain fabrics
- Opalspace wallpapers
- Opalspace wall panels
- Opalspace trims
- Opalspace PVC marble panels, 3D panels
- Opalspace mesh doors and invisible grills
- Opalspace balcony products
7. Installation - If the installation of any of the Opalspace Home Improvement Solution products is taken care of under services, the relevant warranty would be applicable on the installation part only. Opalspace will rectify any installation failure subject to the terms and conditions mentioned in the relevant section.
General Terms & Conditions*
1. This warranty shall begin on 'the commence date' that the consumer telephonically lodges his warranty policy with Opalspace by contacting us at +91-8587 911 064 and furnishing all the purchase and personal details requested by Opalspace. For this warranty policy to be valid, the registration needs to be done within 7 (seven) days from the day of handover of the project or the day the customer moves in, whichever is earlier. The warranty will apply to projects booked after 13th December, 2019.
2. After settlement of any claim, the warranty period will not start afresh.
3. This warranty is governed by the clauses mentioned in Opalspace 146-point Quality Standards
4. Opalspace shall provide replacement only after inspection.
5. Opalspace is not liable to provide any alternative accommodation during any repair work. Customers shall make their own arrangements if required.
6. The warranty policy shall not cover any defects arising out of factors out of the control of Opalspace, including but not limited to:
- Natural calamities such as earthquakes, cyclones
- Vandalism
- Acts of God
- Abuse or negligence by the customer
- Normal wear and tear
- Surface with contaminants
- Failure or defects in the structure or previous coating
- Any other external factors
7. Opalspace reserves the right to conduct inspections and perform any tests. It may do so by itself or by any person nominated. Before such inspection or testing, the customer shall not be entitled to perform any repairs or remove or tamper with any part of the Product/ service.
8. Opalspace shall use its best endeavors to ensure that the repair work is completed as soon as possible but does not assume liability for delay in this respect.
9. Opalspace, in its sole discretion, shall be entitled to:
- Control/monitor repair, which is to be carried out by all its specifications and instructions.
- Appoint a contractor and/or approve the contractor appointed by the customer.
10. Opalspace is liable to process and execute any genuine repair or replacement request made by the customer within the warranty timeline in coordination with the respective Brand Partner.
11. Any additional charges , including work done over and above fixing the identified defect, will be chargeable by the Brand Partner. The cost of these additional charges is to be borne by the customer.
12. No warranties expressed or implied under law extend beyond the terms set out in this warranty document.
13. Neither party shall commence any court or arbitration proceedings related to the above warranty policy before completing the entire evaluation process. Under such circumstances, the warranty policy will be considered null and void as the issue would be sub judice.
14. In case of any disputes, the same is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the respective cities.
15. The facts and all matters concerning any dispute will always be confidential by both the customer and Opalspace.
16. The customer is expected to provide the Opalspace team with basic necessities such as a stool/ladder, bucket, and water (to mix the paint) at the site.
17. Any decision regarding repair of the said component (in part or whole) solely lies with the authorized Opalspace representative. The decision will be made following an inspection by the representative.
18. The cost of dismantling, reassembly & relocation of the Product, wherever required, will be borne by the customer. As a standard practice, Opalspace will cover the Product with a protective covering wherever required.
19. The warranty applies to the original purchaser only. It is not transferable to any other person.
20. Repair(s) are subject to the current product offerings of styles and construction options within the Opalspace product line at the time of the claim. Suppose a claim is filed after an Opalspace product becomes obsolete or discontinued. In that case, Opalspace will replace the affected component with a replacement component of a similar style/make based on availability at the time of the claim.
21. For this warranty to be valid, you must:
- Pay the full contract price.
- Retain a copy of the original contract/ invoice.

22. Sole and Exclusive Remedy:
In the event of a defect in the workmanship or materials of a Product or Product component occurring during the warranty period described above, We will, at our option, repair or replace any defective Product or Product component, provided, if it is not commercially feasible to repair or replace a defective Product or Product component, We may refund the original price paid by you for the defective Product or Product component, or provide a credit towards a similar type of Product sold by Us. The foregoing are Your sole and exclusive remedies for any Product defect or non-conformity.
By way of example but not limitation, the following costs and expenses are not covered by this Limited Warranty:
(1) labor costs for the original installation, removal, or reinstallation of the Product, or defective part thereof;
(2) labor costs or material charges for the removal, reinstallation, repainting, refinishing, or replacement of any other items or building materials that must be removed, replaced, reinstalled, or refinished to repair or replace the defective Product or component.
Further, we reserve the right to modify or alter any product design, specifications, or materials without obligation to make changes similar to Those previously manufactured or sold by us. When you make a warranty claim, the repair or replacement remedies we offer under this limited warranty are contingent on our product line's current product offerings of styles and construction options. Suppose a valid warranty claim is filed for an obsolete Product. In that case, we reserve the right, at our sole option, to honor its repair or replacement obligations under this limited warranty by replacing the affected Product or component with a new product or component that is similar/ comparable to the Product. Suppose a Product or components are replaced or repaired. In that case, We cannot guarantee an exact match with the finish or appearance of other products/ fixtures installed at Your dwelling.
23. Limitation of Liability:
- Opalspace hereby disclaims all warranties and conditions about the Website and Services, including without limitation, all implied warranties and conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness, suitability, and non-infringement, except to the extent such representations and warranties are not legally excludable. We do not warrant that the Product description, color, information, or other content on the Website is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. We do not guarantee or warrant the exactness of any visual representation provided to assist you in identifying the Products or Services on the Website. Additionally, Opalspace shall not be liable for any damages arising from or in connection with the use or performance of the Website or the Services. You acknowledge that the entire risk arising out of the use or performance of the Website or Services remains with you.
- Opalspace nor its suppliers, affiliates, or agents are liable for any inability to perform under this warranty due to events beyond its or their control, such as acts of God, or for property damage, personal injury, loss of use, or profits, or other consequential, punitive, indirect, incidental or special damages, however, caused, whether for breach of warranty, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise.
- In no event shall Opalspace be responsible for consequential or incidental damages, such as loss of use, inconvenience, loss or damage to personal property, whether indirect or direct, and whether arising in contract or tort, even if it had reason to know in advance that such damages were possible. Some areas do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the foregoing limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. In no event shall Opalspace's responsibility exceed the Product's purchase price or its replacement.
- Opalspace shall not be liable for any damage resulting from any defect or delay in claiming the warranty. The consumer must take reasonable steps to mitigate damages.
24. Opalspace will not be responsible for exact matching of existing colors or textures. Opalspace cannot guarantee that the finish paint samples you selected will match the finish coating exactly.
25. Any claim that products sold by Opalspace were defective or otherwise did not conform to the contract of sale is waived unless the customer submits it in writing to Opalspace's authorized representatives within thirty (30) days from the date the customer discovered or should have discovered the defect or non-conformance. No legal action or proceeding complaining of goods sold by Opalspace may be brought by the customer more than one year after the date the customer discovered or should have discovered the defect or problem of which it complains.
26. Disclaimer of warranty:
- This warranty is the only express warranty made by Opalspace, and it disclaims all other warranties, express or implied.
- This Warranty disclaims any liabilities, contracts, tort, or otherwise, including negligence and strict liability, and the Company makes no warranty, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose whatsoever.
27. This warranty is conditioned upon normal use and reasonable maintenance of such equipment; prompt written notice of all defects to Opalspace's authorized representatives; no repairs or additions have been made except by Opalspace authorized representatives; said defect not resulting from misuse, negligence, accident, abnormal wear and tear, and alteration of the original parts or adjustments by the customer or third parties or act of God.
